Wayne Whelan Purcell - Producer

Wayne is a passionate producer, promoter and musician. Over the course of his career he has co-produced, managed, and presented hundreds of Dublin’s most successful music and theatre shows, including Dublin’s most successful Christmas panto.

His production of 'An Evening With the Man in Black', which he wrote, produced, and performed in (lead guitarist/vocalist), has taken him on tour across Ireland and the U.K. Wayne also wrote, produced and performed in 'The Johnny Cash vs. Elvis Show', part of the 2015 Carlow Arts Festival, and 'Gotta Make That Train', a country and western musical. Wayne is the exclusive producer/promoter of 'Frankie’s Guys', a talented bunch of lads performing all the hits from the West End musical 'Jersey Boys', which enjoys sold-out runs all across Europe. Wayne has worked on a number of nationally and internationally celebrated tribute shows, including 'The Johnny Cash Roadshow'

An avid lover of live comedy, Wayne worked as Production and Tour Manager for one of Boston’s most successful improvisation and sketch comedy gigs, 'Improv Asylum' which enjoyed great success at the Tivoli Theatre. He has produced '69 Shades of Gay' - a riotous comedy about gay boy-about-town Aiden’s search for true love, written by celebrated Scottish comedy writer Stuart Thomas -- and 'You Don’t Bring Me Flowers', a raunchy yet heartwarming comedy about love and family, also written by Stuart Thomas. Both enjoyed hugely successful tours across Ireland and the U.K.

Wayne is the License Holder and Programme Manager of one of Dublin’s busiest and most successful theatre venues, The Tivoli Theatre, Owner & Managing Director of ZAC Entertainment Group, Black Bus Bar and Wayne Whelan Productions

Stuart Thomas - Playwright

'Stuart Thomas studied Theatre at Glasgow University and Screenwriting at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University, where he is now Online Director for the School Of Writing. On graduating, he co-founded Take Two Productions, for whom he wrote and directed many hit comedies, including ‘Salon Janette’ and ‘A Is For Abba’. His most recent plays include 'The Real Hoosewives Fae Glesga', ‘Wee Fat Glesga Wedding’ and ’69 Shades of Gay’. Work for other companies includes shows for Borderline, Scottish Opera, Scottish Youth Theatre, Colchester Mercury Theatre, The Bolton Octagon and many more. Stuart was playwright-in-residence at the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow from 2002-2004; his play for the company ‘Damn’d Jacobite Bitches’ was awarded the prestigious Pearsons New Writers Award. Stuart has written many pantomimes for venues including Watford Palace, Salisbury Playhouse, Dunfermline Carnegie Hall and the Brunton Theatre. Writing for TV includes ‘The Big Time’ and ‘The Stair’ (both BBC Choice). His award-winning short ‘The Cause’ (directed by Marco De Luca) screened at the Cannes Film Festival, 2014. His debut feature ‘Bar America’ (co-written with Matthew Jacobs, who directed) won the Audience Award at the Napa Film Festival in 2014. He has projects in development with The Comedy Unit/BBC Scotland and Channel 4. His next feature ‘Out Here’, directed by Cannes award winning director, Darwin Serink and starring Mojean Aria and Russell Tovey, shoots early next year. His new plays ‘Tinder: The Comedy’ and ‘Rain Or Shine’ open in Ireland in October 2018 and Essex in autumn 2019 respectively.'

Daryn Crosbie - Director/Choreographer

Daryn Crosbie is a much in demand Director and Choreographer. Theatre credits include the original production of ‘Saturday Night Fever’ at the London Palladium, where he created and performed rhe featured routine. Also to his credit are the Japanese and European tours of ‘Fosee’ where he has the pleasure of dancing alongside Ann Reinking.

In Ireland, he has been involved in productions with companies such as Daghda Dance Company, Irish Modern Dance Theatre and Coisceim. In the United States, he has recently directed productions of ‘Celtic Woman’ and ‘The High Kings’.

Daryn has also choreographed many musicals including two of his favourites: ‘West Side Story’ and ‘42nd Street’ at the Gaeity Theatre. Over past few years, Daryn has written, directed and choreographed the Gaeity Theatre Pantomime where they have played to rave reviews, sold out runs and broken box office records!
